Privacy Policy

Key point: We collect only what we need to run the service. We never sell your data. Your petition documents are private and encrypted. You can export or delete your account at any time from Settings.
1. Information we collect
We collect: (a) account information (name, email, country) at registration; (b) petition content and documents you upload voluntarily; (c) usage data used to improve the platform; (d) technical information (browser type, IP address) for security and rate limiting. We do NOT collect financial or payment data.
2. How we use your information
Your data is used to provide and improve Safarda services, power AI legal guidance tailored to your situation, deliver petition status notifications, produce anonymized analytics and meet legal obligations. We never use your data for advertising and never sell it to third parties.
3. Storage and security
All data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Cloud Storage) with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Petition documents are accessible only to you and authorized case operators — enforced at the database level by Firebase Security Rules. Credentials are managed by Firebase Authentication and never stored in plain text.
4. Third-party services
Safarda uses: (a) Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage; (b) Google Gemini AI — chat, document analysis and petition drafting; (c) NewsAPI.org — news retrieval; (d) OpenStreetMap / Overpass API — map data; (e) Vercel — hosting. Each provider is bound by the data-processing terms applicable to it.
5. AI data processing
When you use Safar AI, your messages and uploaded documents are sent to the Google Gemini API for processing. Conversations are not stored by Safarda beyond the current session. We do not use your conversations to train AI models and we do not sell them. Document analyses are saved to your account only if you choose — you can delete them at any time.
6. Your rights
You have the right to: (a) request a copy of your data; (b) correct inaccurate data; (c) delete your account and all data (Settings → Delete account); (d) export your data as JSON; (e) restrict processing; (f) opt out of analytics; (g) lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. 7. Data sharing
We share data only: (a) with assigned operators on your case, on a need-to-know basis; (b) with the service providers listed in section 4, solely to run the platform; (c) when legally compelled by a valid court order — we will notify you to the fullest extent the law allows. We never share data with advertisers or data brokers.
8. Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. Petition data is kept for 3 years after a case closes to support appeals. When you delete your account, all identifiable data is erased within 30 days. Anonymized analytics may be retained indefinitely.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies (authentication tokens, session management) that the platform needs to work. Optional analytics cookies can be turned off in the cookie preferences. Disabling essential cookies makes signing in impossible.
10. Children's privacy
Safarda is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have, contact privacy@safarda.uz and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Registered users will be notified by email and in-app notification at least 14 days before material changes take effect. The date of the latest revision is shown at the top of this page.
